“Traditionnnn! Tradition!” goes the famous Broadway song from Meerkats on the Roof Fiddler on the Roof. It turns out that meerkats have their own traditions quite aside from the ones immigrant meerkats followed in the early part of this century (pictured here on arrival to Ellis Island), and you can see those other ones over here [...] Lilly was dark-eyed, vivacious and winsome but she couldn’t get a date. The 3 year-old meerkat living in at Twinlakes Park in Melton Mowbray, UK, was lonely after an arranged marriage fell through. The BBC reports that staff at Twinlakes decided to set up a meerkat dating website for Lilly, and soon a suitor was found, described [...] [...] Yes, Virgina, there is a Christmas Meekrat. As a matter of a fact, I also read of a Chanuka Meerkat recently, when Treasure, an adorable knitted meerkat of NiftyKnits, traveled to Jerusalem to spend Chanuka with Israeli bead artist Hadas of Springcolors. The Christmas Meerkat, on the other hand, is closer to home, and was my questionably [...] Apparently I have to give meerkats their own blog category., as meerkats have been coming at me from different directions. This is one of the cutest, funniest things I’ve seen on esty in a long time.
