Lilly was dark-eyed, vivacious and winsome but she couldn’t get a date. The 3 year-old meerkat living in at Twinlakes Park in Melton Mowbray, UK, was lonely after an arranged marriage fell through.
The BBC reports that staff at Twinlakes decided to set up a meerkat dating website for Lilly, and soon a suitor was found, described as “lovely” and “very nice mannered” and it was reported that “they’re getting on really well.” He has been named “Mr Darcy.”
