Today’s the last day to enter the Got Latkes T-shirt Give-Away! The tees come wrapped up all cute and are ready to give as a gift. Or keep for your own latke-lovin’ self. I don’t judge.
Meanwhile, when I am not giggling over the hilarious Chanuka limericks that some of you have sent in, I’m getting ready for two holiday events this weekend. On Sat Dec 5 from 11- 5 I’ll be vending once again at West Hollywood’s Craft Riot. Can you say WE-HOHOHO?

Then on Sunday, me and Vinyl Vanessa (my inflatable mannequin, and yes, I know that wasn’t grammatical, and no, she’s not the kind of inflatable companion you are thinking of, so stop that right now) are headed to down to beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes where I’ll be vending at the Chanukah Boutique at Congregation Ner Tamid. (And for those who knew her, I’m sorry to report that Blow-Up Betty, my first inflatable mannequin, has been retired.)
Now, consider this next bit of information either an enticement or a full disclosure, depending on which end of the experience you are on: Because it was at Congregation Ner Tamid where I had the BEST bagel and lox sandwich I’ve ever eaten outside NY (they have an amazing caterer.) I broke all my usual vendor rules about what not to eat at an event for this plate of awesomeness with a hole in the middle: fishy, greasy, oozing with cream cheese, oniony! … all crimes against retail in my book. And, ya know what? if I have the chance I’ll do it again. Mwahaha!!
