The inspiring women’s entrepreneurial organization, Ladies Who Launch, held a talk tonight by Mariel Hemingway at the groovy Bergamot Station (historic former trolley station and now art gallery complex) in Santa Monica. The granddaughter of the famous author, who is a yoga devotee, signed her book Healthy Living from the Inside Out, spoke about her long-time quest for a healthier lifestyle physically and spiritually, shared personal and frank stories (hey! it was held at a studio called Frank too), and led the audience in a guided meditation.

One of the nice things about the events like those LWL present is seeing colleagues and friends. Carrie Sommer of the splendid Sommer Designs came up from the South Bay, as well as Stephanie Lesky from the eclectic Junk in Our Trunk indie designer shopping site. We also ran into another Stephanie we used to see at the Israeli Business Network, Stephanie Elhayani, who recently launched Seed, a floral arrangement business.
