Textile Fetishist in Our Boba Shirt

March 29th, 2007

Looking utterly bubblicious in a Rotem Gear “Got Boba?” t-shirt, the Grand Mistress of Textile Fetish, Jennifer Ramos, recently blogged her craving for bubble tea.

Of course we are pleased as punch, er… make that taro-flavored boba tea, that Jennifer is enjoying the shirt and makes it look so good. But there’s more to the story, and it’s about her home-based business.

Based in Austin, Texas, Jennifer (and Textile Fetish) sells one-of-a-kind, handmade items, made mostly from reclaimed and recycled materials. The fabric-obsessed Jennifer gives these materials new life in the form of colorful and fun bags, children’s apparel, aprons, accessories for crafters and other sundry items, all bright and breezy.
Cheer Up Tote
We have recently snapped up a few items there ourselves — checkbook covers and card holders in fabrics that range from retro tattoo prints to op-art, aloha and Japanese-inspired, all fun! And if you are in the market for a gift for a little one, we urge you to check out the children’s mod and patchwork tops, bottoms and dresses. (At right, Cheer Up Tote from Textile Fetish.)
