We’ve admired the necklaces at Juniper Designs since the day we saw them. Now Juniper is having a sale of up to 50% off throughout the store through January 31.

It’s hard to describe these creations — eclectic, vintage, elegant and completely unexpected. Artist Jenifer Altman discovers vintage artifacts and transforms them into unique jewelry expressions. Different lines have names inspired by Greek mythology — Calliope, Majestic Goddess, Orion’s Lover, The Fates, and our favorite, Pandora’s Box.

The Pandora’s Box line is defined by the use of vintage keyholes — many of them by definition one-of-a-kind — paired with freshwater pearls, gemstone beads or Swarovski crystals. The keyholes themselves are as varied as the buildings they once opened into — some ornate, some simple.

For us, it isn’t just the beauty of these pieces that sets them apart, but the very use of a keyhole that evokes an air of intrigue and mystery waiting to be unlocked.
