Recent and not-so-recent sightings of Rotem Gear blogged!
Just My Cup of Tea blogged us again — this time our shamrock gear just in time for St. Patrick’s day.
The Daily Jews our of the U.K. showed off our “Not Yo’ Mama’s Nice Jewish Boy” shirt in this nice little article in their “Jewtastic” category some time ago:
If you are sick and tired about being seen as a nice Jewish boy, then the latest shirt from Rotem will allow you to express your feelings - Not Yo Mama’s Nice Jewish Boy.
Of course, you wouldn’t want to wear it in front of your mother, so ideal for those dates or club nights where you want to dress to impress and show you are not the stereotypical Jewish boy.
Just match it up with some jeans, maybe even wear it with a yarmulke, this will give you the look that shows you are a non-conformist.
The t-shirt itself will set up back $26.99, a small price to pay for such a bold statement.
Of course, if your mother should happen to spot you wearing the t-shirt, you can always quickly take it off and turn it inside out and tell your mother the reason for the label hanging outside is because it’s a new fashion statement.
Another fine design from the folks of Rotem who produce a range of tongue-in-cheek t-shirts that not just cover Jewish themes but other diverse groups and interest.
YoYenta! picked up the vibe a few days later and did her own little spin on it (under “Schmatas, Tsotchkes and Chozzerai”):
Looking to change your image? Wear it on your next date to dispel the notion that just ’cause you’re an accountant, you still know how to party.
Also available in “Not Yo Mama’s Nice Jewish Girl†for those ladies who think donning a miniskirt and a pair of slutty heels is too subtle.
From Rotem Gear Shop. Extra points to them for the “yoâ€.
And a proper English curtsey to DailyJews for the heads up.
In thanks I’ll add a hearty American “heeehaa!” and a gushy Israeli “wallah, maaaaakseeem!”
